What started as a family farm in Glenham, South Dakota has grown into one of the most
trusted pheasant hunting operations in the state. Founded by Marv and Carol in 1993 as Missouri River Ring Necks, Pheasant Cove Outfitters has been welcoming hunters from across the country for over 30 years — many of whom return season after season.
In 2024, Robin — Marv and Carol’s daughter and longtime guide — took ownership of the operation. Joined by her son Teddy, a US Army veteran and Sniper School graduate, and his wife Hayley, who keeps the kitchen running at the highest level, the Pheasant Cove legacy is in great hands for decades to come.

Hunts
Pheasant Cove offers two distinct hunting seasons, each with its own character. Whether
you’re chasing early-season action or the classic wild bird experience, we have the right hunt
for your group.
Early season hunts take place exclusively on our preserve, where bird numbers are consistently strong and action starts early. Warmer temperatures make for a comfortable hunt. Pair your trip with a walleye fishing excursion on the Missouri River or a round of golf at Oahe Hills Golf Course in nearby Mobridge.
Regular season is the classic South Dakota pheasant experience. We kick off each morning chasing wild birds across family land, then finish the afternoon limit on our preserve — a combination that delivers consistent results every day. With a 4-bird daily limit, there’s plenty of shooting from opening day through the end of December.
After a full day in the field, come home to The Cove — our lodge built for comfort, camaraderie, and the kind of meals that keep hunters coming back year after year. Step through the door into the bar, where cold drinks, comfortable seating, and TVs tuned to your favorite sporting events are always waiting. With space for up to 22 guests, a fully stocked bar, home-cooked dinners prepared fresh each evening by Hayley, and a lounge built for swapping stories, The Cove is as much a part of the experience as the hunt itself.
