History
Pheasant Cove Outfitters, formally known as Missouri River Ring Necks, started in 1994 with Marvin, aka Marv, and Carol. They started guiding pheasant hunts on the family farm.
From 1994 till 2018 Marv and Carol ran the cove together until Marv unfortunately passed away in the spring of 2018. Carol, with her steadfast faith in The Lord, continued running the hunting operation and all that is involved.
Robin, Marv and Carol’s third child, picked up the baton and became the Pheasant Cove’s main guide. It was the ending of an era, and Carol decided it was time to pass on the legacy. In 2024, Carol and her daughter Robin struck a deal, and Robin bought the Pheasant Cove.
Robin’s son Teddy and his wife Hayley decided to move back to South Dakota to help run the lodge and be involved in the day-to-day operations. With Robin at the helm and Teddy and Hayley at the ready, The Pheasant Cove dynasty will live on for years to come.
